Through the last 6 months of cancer and chemotherapy, I have camped out in the Book of Job. Although a book of comfort and instruction for anyone weathering a storm, its scope of relevance is far broader than that. I have unearthed eight things that Job resolutely honoured in the face of extreme adversity, which set him up to be rescued and restored by God and immortalised as one of the most righteous men in scripture. I am certain this series will be a defi ning one for each of us as we discover how to resolutely honour God as we do life in this great city of Joburg.
