GRACE GIVING SON

Flowing directly from God’s Sovereignty is the doctrine of Grace, the second great doctrine of the Reformed tradition. Grace is what happens when you apply God’s Sovereignty to salvation. Understanding the gospel of grace is not only how we get saved, but also the ongoing power to live saved. When you ‘get grace’, you get sucked into a vortex of joy, peace, energy and power.

SOVEREIGN FATHER

The primary doctrine of the Reformed tradition is that of the Sovereignty of God, which A.A. Pink says ‘lies at the foundation of Christian theology…the centre of gravity in the system of Christian truth…the cord upon which all other doctrines are strung like so many pearls, holding them in place and giving them unity’. A correct understanding of God’s Sovereignty lays the axe to a man-centred gospel, producing leaders and churches that are simultaneously humble yet confi dent, worshipful yet hard-working, peaceful but not apathetic.

RAISING LEADERS RAPIDLY

Raising leaders is the most vital aspect of mission, even more important than winning the lost because according to Jesus, winning the lost hinges on raising leaders: the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few…(Mt 9v37). A culture of deliberate leadership development is the appropriate response to The Great Commission, enabling sustained local church growth, church planting, and makes any local church an exciting place to be.
